Hi, a question, when my Boss Sy 300 is connected to my MAC and simultaneously to my amp, it generates a noise in the amplifier, has never happened to anyone?
Thanks very much.
Ciao.

Try plugging everything electrical into the same AC outlet. Sounds like you have a ground loop going.

The USB cable and the amp cables are causing a ground loop noise, disconnecting the USB cable will make the noise stop.

An alternative is to use a good quality (Roland UM-One) USB- midi adapter, which has galvanic isolation (no ground loop) and will prevent the noise while using midi/editor.

Free "GR-55 FloorBoard" editor software from https://sourceforge.net/projects/grfloorboard/

Another approach is to connect USB via wifi.  You can plug your usb into a small device (e.g., raspberry pi) running VirtualHere for free (for one usb device at a time), and connect to the USB with wifi by running a small program on your computer or phone.  It's not plug and play, but pretty close. https://www.virtualhere.com/hardware

Not only does it get rid of the ground loop, it's one less cable to trip over, setup, etc.  Just a happy customer.
