I really like the Warwick Gnome 200 watt mini bass head as FRFR 200 watt amplifier for Kemper Kone

According to @Elantric and a few others, the Warwick Gnome is probably a better alternative to the BAM200 due to higher quality overall build, lower noise floor and apparently easier to dial in "flat" setting.

Warwick Gnome Bass Head

I really like the Warwick Gnome

Works excellent, just set tone controls at noon, input gain at 11:00 o'clock, Master Vol at Noon

Gnome amp drove 12" Supro Titan 1742  closed back  cab loaded with one 12"  Kemper Kone 4 ohm speaker , just use any DSP MFX with Its internal cab sim engaged

Nux MG-30 , was wonderful -lots of Vox AC-30 chime and Stone Temple Pilots tone.

Even an old Boss ME-80 (with headphone jack occupied , to enable internal speaker cab sim) sounded great feeding the Gnome/Kone combo.

I finally was able to use the Kemper Kone official method using my  Kemper's mono Monitor Output with the Gnome /Kone combo, but it was a struggle as my early hardware Kemper Toaster (still has far right select switch labeled  "Master" , current versions label that the "Output" switch

My Kemper Monitor Out refused to work when Kemper was in "Browser Mode, -until after I performed a global restore default values = finally " woke up" the Dead Monitor Output and could experience the official "Kemper Kone experience-which frankly is not that different than any other MFX unit with a good internal speaker cab Sim

Switched to other DSP MFX (Boss GT-1000, Nux. HELIX )  to try the Warwick Gnome /Kemper Kone cab  amplification system

All worked Excellent, plenty of volume and accurate guitar amp sounding tones -best my Helix has ever sounded

Interesting. The reviews have been positive and the demos I've heard sound pretty nice. Kone isn't an option for me regardless as from what I've heard it requires the corrective EQ from the KPA to work correctly, or am I mistaken?

IMHO re Kemper Kone REQUIRING the corrective EQ from Kemper , IMHO its a rule that can be ignored

My only disappointing experience with Kemper Kone was attempting to swap stock Mustang GT200 12" Guitar Speakers with a pair of Kemper Kone 12" drivers - results in a very harsh sound with brittle high end on most stock internal DSP Cab Sims on Mustang GT/GTX and the discovery that Fender Mustang GT/GTX amps employ Three distinct Stereo Outputs from its DSP,

#1  Heaphone Out,
#2  XLR Output
#3 Internal Speaker feed) each with separate EQ curves from the Fender Mustang GT/GTX

Fender Mustang GT/GTX  TDM CODEC IC = (CS42436-CMZ Six Input 24-bit A/D, Six Output 24-bit D/A Converter –

The Mustang GT/GTX XLR Outputs are designed to work with a FRFR PA, and those outputs work well with the Gnome / Kemper Kone combo

But the  Mustang GT/GTX DSP Internal Power Amp feed is tailored to provide a fair amount of high frequency content to pass, relying on the 7kHz top bandwidth of the Celestion Guitar Speaker employed to tame the fizzies  - the Celestion HOT 100 has similar EQ curve to a stock Mustang GT/GTX  speaker

As I wrote in prior post here , I spent all day yesterday demoing several makes / models DSP Amp MFX - Feeding both a pair of QSC K2.10 Powered cabs ( to duplicate a typical FOH PA type experience), and A/B with the Warwick Gnome 200 watt mini head driving the Supro 1 x12 closed back cab loaded with one 12" Kemper Kone speaker.

I auditioned several DSP Amp Modelers, through both amplifications systems alone and in combo

The Warwick Gnome  / Kemper Kone rig provided a typical small guitar amp sonic experience - with benefit of the closed back providing a typical low end thump of a 4x12 cab

And I used factory presets from Boss GT-1, Boss ME-80, NUX MG-30, Mooer GE 300, Line-6 Helix.

All sounded great  - no need for hours of tweaking. I was most impressed with the sound of the Helix and NUX MG-30 when used with the Warwick Gnome  / Kemper Kone rig - left all Gnome EQ controls at Noon
