Hi

I need some help with my setup. I have a GR-55 connected to my guitar and I want to make music with it. I have a USB cabel that i can connect to my computer. It is a Lenovo with Windows 10. I downloaded Pro tools first as a DAW but when I use it  I cant use the raw sound that comes right from my GR-55. It seems that Pro tools first is more suitable for keyboard and not guitar. What can I do to fix my problem. Is there any other free DAW that is better to use instead?? I`m new to this so I need lots of help.

Try Reaper

On GR-55 you may record its Audio outputs

And record its MIDI output

GR-55 does not respond to external MIDI Note On/ Off messages

So if you play a prerecorded MIDI track into the GR-55 . NO sound will occur.

I use Cubase. I had to go into the device menu and tell it to make a bus for GR55. Also tell it to use the GR55 as a soundcard.

Try your control panel settings area.

There's probably just one box in your DAW on some menu to click.

Reaview GR 55 manual on connecting to computer. It's a short, easy section.
electric: Epiphone Dot semihollow body, acoustic: mahogany jumbo, recording: Cubase Artist 11 or Tascam DP008
