Hi folks ,really hope someone can help me out here.I just traded 2 guitars for a gr30 and thinking I may have got taken.
First one I ever owned but pretty sure the pickup is installed ok.Using a new midi cable. When I set the gk3 to guitar or mix I get
guitar sound but when I switch to midi it's dead.Have tried all the recomendations in the manual with no luck.
I'm thinking if I'm getting signal to the guitar that perhaps the unit itself is the problem.Seems to power up fine and the gk3 changes the patches ok ,there's just no sound at all.If anyone has any suggestions they would be very much appreciated, thanks.

Verify your GK 13 cable is wired corecttly  - all 13 pins connected 1 to 1 , and no breaks in the shield ( ground) connection

- 80% of the 13 pin cables on Ebay are Incompatible surplus Kenwood / Clarion remote CD changer cables , sold as "Roland GK 13 cable"

and connect headphones to the GR-30 "MIX OUTPUT

If you only use the "Guitar Out"  jack - you will never get Synth sounds

Everything seems fine now cept the a string is not being picked up by the synth. Will see if I can sort that next, thanks again,Cheers.
