thanks. my experience with the headphone out into a full-range system wasn't pleasing --sounded processed. but i do have a Rolls DI which should clean up the noise so i'll try it again into better monitors.

Insert a Digitech cabdryvr between ADIO GT Headphone out and the stereo DI box  - helps roll off any brittle high frequencies  - and retains stereo image

that's an interesting device.

i just noticed the Vox VXII thread. I've never taken a look at that one before but, apparently, it's the same technology with a mono 8" speaker.  i'll read through that thread. Outputting my stereo TimeFactor delay into two of them could be a perfect stereo solution to replace the Adio.

and i see there's also a 50 watt acoustic VXII with NuTube technology, which i've been waiting for. If Vox has a foot-pedal version of the vxii amp modeling it might output nicely to their acoustic amp.

thank you for this forum. over the years my exploration of new guitar technology always leads me back here. it's the best

Sadly they are Mono Speaker

but the headphone is Stereo USB Audio

QuoteI can play guitar using the Vox VXII's excellent built in DSP Amp models and FX ( they appear to be Mono Only) , and with the Ipad still connected via USB, I can us the VXII as a 24 bit stereo USB DAC, and feed backing tracks from my iPhone/iPad , play IOS Synths, and hear everything in either the VXII's full range 8" speaker at 30 watts mono, or I can connect stereo headphones, and hear everything in clean 24 bit stereo audio with equivalent performance of my other top 24 bit IOS audio interfaces.

Look at the Vox VTX50 GTV

vs

^^ the new VX50 GTV is basically a 50 watt version of VXII and with NuTube  - but still has 24 bit stereo USB Audio and access to Vox ToneRoom app

Here, just made this (with Vox ADIO AIR GT) Never mind the playing. I'm just experimenting with recording through the USB. I'm using Audacity.

Rhythm guitar 1 - hard left - Texas Lead
Rhythm guitar 2 - hard right - JCM800
Lead 1 - center - Boutique OD (Dumble)
Lead 2 - center - BritVerb (Orange)

I really like the Texas Lead for leads but I only used that setting for the left-channel rhythm.

I think the BritVerb might be a little too thin for this song.

Anyone tried one of these into an iPhone/iPad? The manual says its supported with Cck but I'm wondering if anyone's actually tried and can use the iOS device as send (post Adio effects ) and return to speaker.

A couple of questions for Adio owners - does it sound OK through headphones, and does plugging the headphones in cut out the sound to the speakers? Have you used it for recording?
I'm on the fence between the Vox and Yamaha THR (and probably a third option as soon as I find out about one), currently leaning towards the Vox..

Yes Sounds good with ATH-M50X Headphones

Quoteand does plugging the headphones in cut out the sound to the speakers?

Yes

QuoteHave you used it for recording?

Yes -on Mac OSX 10.11 and Win7 64 using the Vox/Korg ASIO Driver just need a USB 2.0 Cable

I own both the ADIO AIR GT and the 1st gen THR-10  - I much prefer the ADIO GT

Thanks! Chances are then it will sound good on my ATH-M40X cans  :)

I basically need a tiny home recording amp which can fit on my desk. The only downside to the Vox is that I'll most likely have to buy it new, while the THRs pop out every now and then in the classifieds.

Hey! I got an Adio Air GT for my birthday! Love it to pieces!
Anybody know how to get the 1/8" input to pass through the USB for recording along with the guitar? I tried USB recording for the first time yesterday, it only recorded the guitar. Bummer, man!
