Ive been playing with an NVidia Shield K1 8" Android 6.0 Tablet.

Its a rather swift performer, and accepts 128GB micro SD cards - plan to test this with an OTG USB adapter with GP-10 MIDI over USB to Android

I have had a few Android devices in the past (Samsung Note 2, ) the hurdle today for Android OS based soft synths (Caustic 3)  is Screen response latency- but i'll test this weekend with MIDI hardware controller and report back.

But for its price this   NVidia Shield K1 8" Android 6.0 Tablet already works well as a mobile data bucket / media player  / remote control for QSC Touchmix / Remote display for DJI Phantom Drove, etc)- decent volume from its built in stereo speakers mounted on each side of the screen   using KODI  Media Center (5 stars *****)

Still my favorite price /performance Android tablet - already has Android 6.0.1, and extremely fast CPU

loaded with a 128gb micro sd card I can easily place my MP-3 practice tunes on it, and it runs Setlistmaker and can feed 4K HDMI media to your TV
