Upon recommendation by @BROCKSTAR...  I figure this needed its own topic & visibility here!

omg the slow shipping sucks so bad.... It's 1 1/2 hours from me and been sitting there since yesterday morning and not moving. I checked on another tracking page and now it says I won't get it until tuesday. I don't get why it's so slow!

Who is shipping carrier, DHL?
And where do these ship from? I ordered mine yesterday

They ship from taiwan but it got to the states on wednesday and been slow ever since. Shipping partner is "pitney bowes".
Makes no sense why it's so slow when it's sitting 1 1/2 hrs from me since yesterday morning. I should have gotten it today.

You probably won't get yours until early October. Site says shipping on 20th.

Expected shipping time (from the date of dispatch):
United States: 9 - 14 days by USPS. Tracking available after 7-9 days.

Its going through customs in USA -that can take 3 to 10 days. They typically hand off to USPS , occasionally UPS

you can search using the Taiwan tracking number here

Yeah I know but i know someone else that got it a day later after it got into the U.S. Weird thing is theirs didn't say PITNEY BOWES on the tracking like mine does.
Mine's been floating around the U.S. since wednesday going from illinois then to ohio and now parked there until tuesday it says ugh.

Guess just gotta wait, but the system makes no sense sometimes.

The curious thing is the expansion 6 or 10 button TRS wired floor controllers are  resistor ladder network boxes.
https://electronics.stackexchange.com/questions/331661/resistor-ladder-with-same-resistor-value-and-different-resistor-value
Many have used similar type resistor ladder network switch boxes to direcly connect to Expression Pedal inputs on many brands of gear.

For example when a passive resistor ladder network switch box is used with GR-55, there are custom programmed patches where the expression pedal "pans" among 4 different GR-55 tones. Substitute a passive resistor ladder network switch box for an expression pedal would allow direct access to the 4 tones using 4 switches - just must hold down the desired momentary  switch .

I figure the wireless versions add a wireless communiction board.
( i ordered the Graviton M1 with the small wireless  dual joystick X/Y controller + the 10 button wireless foot controller  when all were in stock yesterday.
They explain how this works in the Graviton M1 Owners Manual

Note for tripleplay connect users intending to use Gravton M1 with ipad or computer via USB connection - you may still require a USB Hub

* Either USB Host port or USB MIDI port may be used, but NOT at same time

Another selling point is the MIDI INPUT, which can allow third party basic MIDI controllers to initiate  a sequence of pre-programmed  Graviton M1 MIDI commands

Very nice!

I may get another controller for guitar later on. So I can have 2 on my guitar. That way I have one for just the sy-1000 and one for just gm-800. Technically I don't need the unit since I'm a at home user and sit next to my gear, but I like messing with things and if it makes it easier for me then having to move around then it's better lol.

BROCKSTAR

got my graviton m1 today, just trying to figure it out now ugh lol... Trying to just get it to switch banks on my sy-1000 and gm-800... this is totally different then mc8 for me but will get it eventually.

Deeper discussions ( so far) exist at The Gear Forum from Luminite, and Laxu
(And  a few other familiar names, many  who insist on using 4 letter words that would get their posts deleted here)

Its apparent 1st task is update the Firmware

Control M1 using The XY controller, from the touchscreen of the Graviton or using any MIDI footswitch controller.

Think of the Graviton as a "MIDI control hub" device. You could program it so that if you use anything you want to send it MIDI PC 1, just by receiving that command it could toggle 5 different MIDI capable pedals each to their own preset, bypass states etc. Kind of like what Snapshots do on Helix or Scenes on Fractal. That's obviously just the tip of the iceberg for what you can do.

Could you do that with just a Morningstar MIDI controller with footswitches? Yeah, but you won't have a wireless, touchscreen device that you can put wherever you want and use to program the whole thing, you won't have a little wireless joystick controller you can put anywhere you want either etc.

Above I described how I want to use it to control for example secondary parameters on my Strymons. Since Strymons can also send MIDI CCs on preset changes, I can set the Graviton to track a particular parameter so if I change a preset on the pedal, the Graviton display also shows what that tracked parameter is on the current preset. No more hidden secondary params. I plan to expand this so that ideally I could use it to show preset parameters for a lot of stuff, considering the pedals don't have LCD screens to indicate what is happening in each preset.

On top of that the preset info alone like "which preset is each pedal using right now" is useful. So it will act sort of like a little "what's going on" display.

This will go on a desktop MIDI controllable board and I'll use the XY controller at first to switch presets and maybe later on add a MIDI footswitch thing.

With MIDI usually the possibilities are pretty limitless and it's more about having the right controller(s) for yours

Yeah, @laxu summed it up perfectly.

I was gigging extensively with my band, and many of the songs required 4-5 different patches, with some needing constant switching between verses. As a result, I found myself staring down at my feet most of the time, not to mention the many instances of missed solo patch changes when I wandered too far from my spot and couldn't get back in time or risked tripping over cables on stage.

This system solves these mobility problems as it is mainly designed as a live performing tool. However, it works great in home studios as well, saving tons of space on / under the desk. It also saves my back from bending down and twisting knobs while untangling cable mess.

In the demo video on the first page, you can see the tiny XY Controller attached to my guitar. All the patch changes happen when my fingers flick the switches, which isn't much different from using the 5-way pickup selector or mini switches.

It does take some practice to perform the switching while playing smoothly, but once you get the hang of it, it feels quite easy and natural. I can switch rapidly, usually faster than tap dancing in many cases.

If the guitar-mounted XY controller is not your jam, the Graviton M1 works with almost any footswitch pedal it connects to. I also have 6-footswitch and 10-footswitch extension pedals coming very soon. ;)
