Gr-20 synth module ?

hi :-) does anuyone knows what roland synth module the gr20 use ? thanks

Also despite the GR-20 being a "lower number" vs GR-33, the GR-20 was the newest Roland GR PCM Synth until release of GR-55, in 2011 , same year GR-20 was discontinued. GR-20  has advantage over older Roland GR units as it has a Bass Mode to support Bass GK 13 pin instruments., as well as a Guitar Mode for GK 13 pin Guitars.

Its also physically quite small

The GR-20 has some great tones with in,
 designed to be played by guitar, rather than being just synth tones in a guitar to midi box.

there's something a bit strange because "The synth's sounds themselves are reminiscent of Roland's JV/XV range of instruments"
i have a jv1010 and the sound seems to be very different
