The Moog Guitar used a similar  "push Spring" tremolo system  design ( no room for typical Strat type springs)
I have never seen the Moog with backplate removed. Wow. The only other guitar I have seen with the push spring was the Brua Phantom, which uses a normal spring setup, then adds a special hydraulic push spring as a modern Trem setter type of action.

Robert Fripp Slim

We are incredibly proud to build Robert Fripps signature guitar.  Where we differ from most guitar builders who are associated with such a luminary of the music world is that we very rarely build the same thing twice, even Roberts personal instruments have varied in spec over the years with the current version set to include the Ghost piezo and MIDI system built into a custom tremolo that we build in house at Crimson Guitars.  Instead we use the as many of Roberts spec choices as our clients want and build them into a frame that is utterly bespoke, the neck shape, number of frets, type of hardware and electronics and even materials used are all customisable.

The body style tends to stay firmly in the Les Paul arena but even here there are changes made to accommodate different numbers of frets and the physique of the client.  Roberts personal choice is the Hollowbody, a completely hollow Les Paul type guitar built along the lines of a traditional acoustic but keeping the carved top and feel he has grown used to in his long career, The second basic option we work from is a more modern ergonomic design with complete access to all the frets and a carved body to make for a supremely comfortable guitar that seems to fit like you were born with it.

Roland / ESP GTM GC-10
http://www.synthtopia.com/content/2009/03/05/roland-gc-10-guitar-controller-and-gi-20-with-native-instruments-reaktor-50/

This was built by ESP for Roland as a GK-13 VGuitar product demonstrator - I played one back in 2011 at a NAMM show

Never sold  in mass quantities  - mostly in Japan

Some have modified them

reminds me of Bo Diddleys guitar at the Hollywood GC RockWalk

Simon Farmer's Gus G1 MIDI
http://www.gusguitars.com/product.php?model_id=5

The G1 MIDI is our flagship model featuring a full complement of Gus hardware and electrics along with 13 pin access, courtesy of its RMC Piezo pickups and Polydrive system.

This gives the guitar a huge range of available sounds and options - as well as the 6 varied magnetic tones and Piezo acoustic tonality, you also have access to the exciting world of MIDI guitar, via equipment such as Roland's GR33 Guitar Synth as well as guitar modeling gear like the VG-88.

If you're looking for a supremely versatile, refreshingly modern electric guitar that can handle cutting edge technology yet still rock-out with the best of them...it's right here!

The Gus Bass Version was Prince's last ordered / purchased  instrument

Mostly from abject curiosity ;) but is anyone keeping a current list of Roland-ready guitars that are available -- as in, someone sends them credit-card info & a ready-to-play instrument arrives within ten days?

I really enjoy my Switch, but it's got some niggly wiring issues I've not got round to, & anyway I'm concerned about longterm stability (which of course has never been tested) of the body material, particularly the headstock. While I can readily stick a GK onto another guitar, it's still an inelegant solution (& doesn't fit so nicely into a case). So, I'd like to consider my ACTUAL options.

Some of these guitars are so totally beautiful that I wonder if the GK-KIT wasn't possibly an afterthought, to make it look more "weird." And the prices are generally high enough that I seemingly ought to contact a luthier (& have an ACTUAL custom axe built for the price) or stick to known brands (I love the Parker BUT find their trem a bit niggly) or have some major dealer like Ed Roman make the effort for me (search or mod or build from scratch).

Speaking of Ed Roman (the company, not dear dead Ed), here's a commissioned Abstract "Bolero" semihollow (:o) of korina/purpleheart with inlaid maple fingerboard, plus Stenberger TransTrem -- apparently with both mag AND piezo outs.

Ed once posted that they'd sold a few hex-kit Abstract "Pagan" guitars, which are super-thin. I've heard base price is like $2,200, but it's built-to-need --

And there's always Old School --

http://www.joness.com/gr300/Gibson_Les_Paul_LPK-1_Roland_Ready_Vintage_Controller.htm

from the Joness site:
"Manfred Lindner reports that a Gibson Custom Shop employee he spoke to estimated that around 7 were made. I have seen at least three red models, the one shown here, another one with a sanded down neck, and a third owned by Steve Howe of Yes, all with different serial numbers. "

this one's been for sale for a while on eBay and at one point it could have been had for $2,900 ( starting bid with zero bidders). A GR300& 24 pin Cords are included.

I considered it for a while but it was too expensive for me.

Thanks for mentioning this shop!! They've offered some rather beautiful (if slightly more standard-looking) instruments in the ~$950 range. Every time I find myself tempted by a boring black MIM Strat asking $1,000 (because it's "collectible" >:(), I visit MP to settle myself down.

I have RMC p/u's in two of my Abyss guitars.  Kevin builds some UNREAL gear!  It can be VERY EXPENSIVE or very reasonable depending on how much you dress it up.

Here are links to my #2 The Last Supper and #2 Crucifixion both drive the VG99 VERY NICELY!  Just noticed my Crucifixion is not pictured on his site yet, but you get the idea.  Mine has black EMG HZ p/u's in it but other than that it looks very much like #3.

Enjoy!

That's exactly it - the back of my Heartfield EX-2 has one of these time saving battery doors:

It's much less of a pain than unscrewing 8 phllips head screws just to change a battery.

And it would be terrible if it had been on the front:

Beautiful guitar, man!

At 2020 Winter NAMM, the only 13 pin guitar on display from Godin was this model

Multiac Nylon String Natural HG
https://godinguitars.com/product/multiac-nylon-string-natural-hg

There were no LGX-SA, LGXT, xtSA, on display  - but often Godin only shows brand new latest models at NAMM, and leave existing Models at home

Here are the 13 pin models which remain in production in  2020

I do see the Godin Freeway with Ghost Piezo has been discontinued

Truth of EVO
Now, the truth of the EVO to be revealed!
Analysis software called "Smaart V.7"

http://www.otk.co.jp/pickup/rational_smaart.html

EVO production project that began in 2007 we have entered a new scene in the shipment of a very small number of from 2012!
I think to be able to understand if it is possible to look at the site for an overview of EVO Secret STORY which took five years, but why, core or not go away punch-through clear outline stands out in any position, even if distorted violently EVO that was completed ? When you get with a check in the forefront of professional musicians, I great unanimous! I good! It is frustrating not understand is the reaction with, but it is why naively, one day it went Only time too! With the advent of the mania that the check has risen always to the PA side of the table in a large venue of the dome-class arena, the analysis software of Rational Acoustics, Inc. called "Smaart V.7", all questions were clear at once. ( Http://Www.Otk.Co.Jp/pickup/rational_smaart.Html )
? Click here for purchase of SmaartV.7 is

in usage close to 100% in the sound field frequency measurement software professional, para-metallic equalizer speaker Because it is software that can also be used for tuning, etc., and for us to visualize the frequency band in real even in the environment where the human ear is misled. You came to be delivered good sound at any seat in the big live venue, it might merit of "Smaart V.7".

Frequency measurement of the typical electric guitar with the EVO that due to the "Smaart V.7"

As "truth! Of EVO", a masterpiece of "EVO Secret STORY" dared frequency measurement thorough comparison of the EVO 0101Z 0202Z the 1956 ST Fender C / S and 1959 LP STD Gibson C / S in this "Smaart V.7" I did.

Comparative data of measurement guitar]
? The parentheses pickup
- Gibson C / S 1959 LP STD / HRM GLOSS 3.95Kg (Burst Backer # 1, # 2)
-   Fender C / S 1956 ST NOS 3 kg (Custom 50s Single coil × 3 )
-   EVO 0101Z 3 kg (EMG / 81 and 85)
-   EVO 0202Z 3.1 Kg (PRS / McCarty N, B)
Elements that determine the guitar sound, weight, hardness, PU, because there scale, etc., frequency characteristics are not all, please refer to in order to determine the difference of each guitar.
Also, because I did a check CAP-iNA is with the guitar itself, part of the variation of the picking is affect the results because there is also, it is a reference to the comparison result as well.
Comparison items we verified in 1-6 string of open strings of each machine. Analysis comparison is difficult chords, also measured in the time axis was also possible, but you will be the theme of fun next time. Please check we have published by comparing the measured image of all. If you look at this! Become a witness of the moment approach to the guitar varies rattle! It might be criticized, such as witnesses of a new era towards the next generation, immediately, but, such as changes to the storm of praise in 10 years, such as caught up finally to EVO era, a strange sensation I am wrapped in! Image horizontal axis will be the sound pressure frequency, and the vertical axis.

Another page will rise by an icon click of each string.

So, please refer to the comparison each string, each machine.

Review

EVO is out low frequency, high frequency in both: 6-string.
5-string: the entire range is similar.
4-string: low frequency is similar but, LP is out slightly high frequency.
EVO is coming out with a high-pass and low-pass in particular: 3rd string.
EVO is out low frequency, high frequency in both: 2nd string.
1st string: low frequency pressure is stable EVO.
- The direction of the 0101Z is often (especially treble) overtones wider range as a whole
, output is found on the EVO characteristically 3,6-string either in particular, virtually unchanged.

EVO is coming out is high frequency, particularly with a little low-frequency: 6-string.
5-string: there is a difference in sound pressure, but similar characteristics.
4-string: low frequency is EVO, LP is out to high frequency.
EVO is out low frequency, high frequency in both: 1 to 3 string string.

6-string: low frequency is similar but, EVO has come out high frequency.
Harmonic configuration that EVO was well-proportioned across: 5-string.
4-string to 2 strings: exact harmonic calibration from low-pass to a high region, has been stable EVO.
ST is out EVO beyond the 8K greatly in each of the basic harmonic: 1st string.
- The direction of the 010Z has a higher output as a whole, the midrange is out
-1, 2-string's overtones lot is ST, but the 0101Z there are many harmonic component is 3-6 strings.

EVO is out low frequency, high frequency in both: 6-string.
5-string: it is similar overall, but the EVO sound pressure.
Which has been put on high frequency up to the stable EVO and strength of the low-frequency: 4-string.
3rd string: it is similar in overall, EVO has come out with a high frequency.
Which has been put on ultra-high frequency from low frequency up to the stable EVO: 2 string.
Harmonic configuration that high frequency from low frequency of EVO until stable: 1st string.
Because of the extra harmonic is less in the exact harmonic structure, effect action is also good, with the fastest response, that you play the guitar synth will be fun in the Roland guitar synth GR-55, etc.! Even recording or the like in the line, tap sound is also Tsubudachi of surprise is not sound thin and without an amplifier.
It is the rise of the surprise in super distortion even clean! LP, which was measured compared to this time, ST is a modern version of the great name of the machine that created the foundation of the popularity of the current music.
As opposed to the negative in the measurement result, towards the artists to create new music by catching the individuality of each machine only and I'm glad if you as a reference.
That you do not want to use the amplifier also many latest artists, guitarist from the USB interface also came more and more recordings. I think electric guitar used content also has come a strange and conventional, and reflects the era that performance comes a strange naturally.
To see more ~ good enough to open a hole a comparison image of each string, please feel EVO sound once. New guitar world is waiting!

Jennifer Batten did 4 years of touring with Jeff Beck 1997-2000 playing all the synth parts using this guitar and a Roland GI-10 Guitar to MIDI converter driving a rack of Synths

This is the factory Washburn Jennifer Batten  JB-100 model and was $1500 list in 1998

Introduction to the Washburn Jennifer Batten JB100:
Washburn Jennifer Batten JB100
With high profile tours as the dynamic, world-stage ready guitarist for Michael Jackson, Jennifer Batten gained immediate attention for her virtuosity and innovative guitar techniques.

American guitar manufacturer Washburn built a guitar for her, based on her specifications, and thus was born the Washburn JB100 Custom Shop guitar.

These guitars were available in the late '90s to the early 2000s, and feature the Roland GK-2A internal pickup.

While the shape of the guitar suggests a Fender Strat, the 24 3/4" scale and set neck put the guitar in more Gibson territory. As these guitars were all hand made in the Washburn custom shop, they breath quality, with attention to detail in every aspect of their construction.

In addition to the obvious addition of the Roland electronics, the fit and finish of the guitar is outstanding. For players with small hands, this is a dream neck, the scale length and neck width work really well for players without a huge reach.

The guitar features the Seymour Duncan JB Jr. pickups in the neck and bridge positions. The guitar includes a pickup split switch for humbucker or single coil output. Unlike the larger dual/single humbucker pickups, these pickups generally keep the same output level while reproducing the tones associate with single or dual coil sounds.

The middle position is a Duckbucker, a single coil sized humbucker designed to be wired in parallel to give you a sparkly single coil tone.

If you are a Roland-Ready guitar player, this is an exceptional guitar to keep your eye out for. The set neck and excellent pickup combinations make this a great sounding and great playing guitar.

The factory installed GK 2A pickup is fully compatible with the most recent Roland and Boss guitar synthesizers.

Sal_amie

I'm sure I saw a post on this forum about MIDI 2.0. I'll post here though.

I keep reading how the Roland GK Pickups have latency issues even though all of the sound samples and videos look and sound really cool with what people do with it.

Anyone here would know if a MIDI 2.0 guitar or a MIDI 2.0 GK pickup would solve latency issues?

Thanks!
