Hi All
I only have a small room for my setup and its getting cluttered with wires everywhere, so I need to cut out as much as possible, what is the best way to connect my GR55 into my HD500x so as to use it as a through to the AMP.

actually any experiences regarding connecting these two units would be appreciated.

cheers

Dave

Guitar GK > GR-55 GK input
GR-55 Guitar out > HD500X guitar in
GR-55 L (and/or R ) Output > HD500X FX Return.

The GR-55 guitar out sends dry normal P.U and/or Modeled guitar tones into the HD-500x
GR-55 synth output (leave normal PU and Modeled tones 'off' so they don't pass through the GR-55 output) into the HD-500x FX return so the synth bypasses the amp modelling, but can also have extra effects applied after.

Thanks Gutown

I can get the GK guitar out yo HD500 Guitar in to work, but cant get anything out from the GK Out to HD effects in, ive tried adding an effects loop in the model but i must be doing something wrong.

Try the GR-55 L/R out (or phones out) to the HD500 Aux In then.

The fx loop might require 'enabling'.

I've been using this exact set-up for years.

The guitar out of the GR-55 goes to the line in of your HD500.  Then I take the headphone out from the GR-55 and put it into the MP3 Input on the HD500.  This way, the tones of the HD500 are simply mixed with the tones of the GR-55.

I then play through the Line6 PA speakers so my synth tones do not get colored by a guitar amp.
