Title: Boss GT-1 - Tips & Tricks :-)
Post by: Kenni on June 17, 2017, 12:46:03 PM
Hi there  :)

Over the last couple of months, I've been making some 'Tips & Tricks' videos on different GT-1 topics.

A lot of people have already found answers and helpful advice watching the videos, so I thought I'd post a link to my YouTube page here.

https://www.youtube.com/user/GuitarNTabs/videos (https://www.youtube.com/user/GuitarNTabs/videos)

Perhaps some people here can find some answers or ask some questions  :)

I have more videos in mind, and I'll have more coming in the future!

Feel free, everyone!
I hope some people here will find it helpful!

Cheers & Rock on!  ;D

Here's a rough demo of an ambient type patch i made.  the only external effect is a PTD Rotoplex in front for some of it.
CTRL 1 pedal increases feedback on both delays, you can see the control assignments at the beginning
and i made a couple tweaks during recording.

Sorry about the clicks, need to check gain staging inside the patch.

p.s. my first youtube

explanation of some features:

Total of 6 full featured assigns per patch can be used to assign functions to control 1, control 2, control 3 or expression pedal(s), or the "internal pedal" or wave pedal (LFO).

Also each of control 1, control 2, control 3 can have 1 additional function such as: turn 1 effect off/on, tap tempo, level boost/cut, od/ds solo or preamp solo(with adjustable solo level)

Up and Down buttons can be reassigned to different function such as: turn 1 effect off/on, tap tempo, level boost/cut, od/ds solo or preamp solo(with adjustable solo level)

Pedal setting: most patches by default Expression 1 is set to control Volume and switch to wah with the Exp Switch. That can be turned off if you want Exp 1 to control only other parameters, or can be combined with other parameters using assigns.

I think the chorus depth might be changing not just the depth but the character of the chorus.

Delays can't be set 100% wet, but some delay levels can be set to 60% wet (level set to 120).

Noise suppressor decreases note attack, I think it sounds much better OFF.

Autowah detects the input signal from front of effects chain, even when it's not first in the chain.

There's some parallel blending so if you have a stereo chorus going into a delay which the user guide lists as mono or mono in/stereo out, you can still hear the stereo of the chorus etc.
