For your viewing/listening enjoyment...

I started working on this tune back in the late 80s, when I was on the road with the Jane Powell Band.

The thunderous bass heard in this track is a combination of the Roland MKS-70 and the Roland GR-77B.

I sequenced the MKS-70 with a keyboard, then layered the GR-77B on top.

Michael Hakes is the featured guitarist. Michael was a top LA musician who toured or recorded with Edgar Winter, Cher, Player, The Pointer Sisters, Keiko Matsui and more. The track was recorded using various vintage Roland gear: MKS-70, GR-77B, S-550, and the drums come from an Alesis HR-16! Much of this gear was in my road rig. The S-550 provided the sampled Hammered Dulcimer. And Michael Hakes added his solo, recorded to 24-track at Kitchen Sync Studios, in Hollywood CA, in 1993. Sean Freehill engineered recording Michael's guitar.
