Finally got to see the video from the Ocean Beats Festival we organise each year.
This was the most recent at Dec 2016

The video projector worked out really great, and my home made wireless DMX lighting and compact foot controller.
And 2 laptops, one for the DMX lights and one for the video.

Thanks, It really is a super spot, a true hidden gem.
The guy who owns the land has about 400 acres all the way up to the beach front, with his own private beach.
We played another smaller gig right up by the beach front, a private party, when we started playing, a large pod of dolphins came swimming past.

The Oceans Beats event is held the first weekend of December, this was the 7th one we have done, each year the event gets bigger.
December is the first week of summer here, nice and warm.

Here is a picture of me on the bass on the night, with just the slightest glimpse of my GR-55.

It took most of the day before setting up the stage, lights and P.A.
The lights, lasers, video and some of the P.A. is my own gear

How warm is warm there in C or F during the summer there in winter ?

I see there is camping there , that I still like to do that even @ 66 .

Looks like a really nice group of people too .

You use the GR55 with your bass , that is hip . Do you loop a bass track
and play synth voicings ?

I did a gig once as a sub for a bass player using my GR33 bass voices and my
Godin LGXSA . It worked well .

Cheers man , NZ is on my list of places to go to . That video of that are is really intriguing
this is on the south island right ? - Thanks for the link too . I'll wander about the area with a
satellite google map to "  acquaint " myself with it  .

This is in the north Island of NZ, the Ocean Beats event is at a place called Kauri Mountain, which is actually a beach.
the area is Whangarei Heads In the Northland region.

Temperatures here range from 25~30 degrees C in summer to 10~18 degrees C mid winter, it is said to be a 'temperate' sub tropical climate, not that much great variation between summer and winter.
The temperatures do vary more in the South Island, being at bit closer to the South Pole.

The Ocean Beats event this year will most likely be on 2nd Dec 2017.
Plenty of space for camping.

I play mostly regular bass tones, and use the GR-55 EXP pedal to mix in backing type synthy/pad tones, and sometimes use the GR-55 File Player as a sample player for some song intro's.
Sometimes I use the guitar modelling and strum on some bass chords just to annoy the guitarist   ;D
