I got GP-10. Tone Studio, in my Windows 7 64 partition freeze PC, and i try to use Linux to edit patches,
I have installed Tone Studio using Wine, it run but it doesn't recognize the midi usb of GP-10.
It let me see both GP-10 midi ports (1 and 2) but it doesn't recognize the hardware.
When it starts, it view the actual patch loaded, as normally would, but it asks always the midi for connect the Boss device.
Have you some suggestions? Maybe can be usefull for others that have similar need.
I'll wait for your help.

I have to agree with gumtown. I also tried a Linux distro but things like that made me return to Windows.

Virtual box and VMWare are better options than Wine under Linux.

I run all my MI programming and control software in a VMware Windows 7 guest.  Just be sure not to mention that if/when you ask for vendor support.  They'll use it as an excuse to blow you off immediately without considering the issue.

I've yet to find anything that didn't work in a VM, FYI.
