Hi, is there a function in the GP 10 to do a complete memory dump/backup like in the VG-99?

Id like to be able to do some sort of dump for the GK settings and patches so I can load different settings for different guitars and projects.
VG-88V2, GR-50, GR-55, 4 X VG-99s,2 X FC-300,  2 X GP-10 AXON AX 100 MKII, FISHMAN TRIPLE PLAY,MIDX-10, MIDX-20, AVID 11 RACK, BEHRINGER FCB 1010, LIVID GUITAR WING, ROLAND US-20, 3 X GUYATONE TO-2. MARSHALL BLUESBREAKER, SERBIAN ELIMINATOR AMP. GR-33.

I don't have a VG99 so I'm not completely familiar, but I do have a VG-88 and GR-55 which allow you to dump and load through the midi ports.  The GP-10 does not have midi ports but it does have a USB capability which allows you to connect the GP-10 to your computer and use the BOSS Tone Studio software to save your current set list and then load a previously saved set list.  This is how I use it.  Just be careful using the Boss software as it tends to reset some parameters when backing up to the computer.  The entire process only takes a few seconds.

You can use the USB interface and do a sysex dump.

How?
Boss wants you to use Boss Tone Studio for GP-10 (Win/Mac),

One of the "joys" of GP-10 not having MIDI I/O jacks is the GP-10 lacks the old school  "MIDI Sysex Dump"  function found in older Roland VG  / GT  / GR gear.

And this specific issue might have been a major part of Roland's design decision to remove the 5 pin DIN MIDI I/O Jacks from the GP-10 . Many forget the "bricked" Roland VG-88 V2 upgrades, due to the wild variability of MIDI hardware interfaces, and a full GP-10 MIDI sysex data dump would be prone to dropped data with most 5 Pin MIDI interfaces out in the wild today.
Like this popular (p-o-$) below  that does not even have an opto isolator to meet the MIDI Spec

Removing the MIDI I/O jacks has benefit of ceasing product support calls too .

Latest BTS Version has an Off-Line Mode, so you may open any GP-10 patch we have shared.

The Official Boss GP-10 MIDI Spec is the most clear / literate version ever released - worth reading

need to take a screen grab and manually input GK and system settings. Small price to pay for the portability and a great editor.

Yes - that appears to be the case with GP-10 - no way to backup the System User settings

But also no way to accidently overwrite the user settings.
