I have finally cracked the secrets of Bluetooth (BLE) Midi
so
Bluetooth connectivity is coming to selected editors.

Just a few selected current titles will get the bluetooth add in,
as it is only useful for devices which either have built in bluetooth midi, or are able to have an external BLE midi device plugged in (i.e. have 5 pin DIN ports for an BLE Midi adapter).

This also opens up avenues for FxFloorBoard editors to migrate to iPad IOS systems.

Also working a hardware device which plugs into any Roland/Boss device (or any other device requiring drivers that is supported by android midi) USB port and converts to Bluetooth LE MIDI.

Engineering is the most fun when leveraged to make something do what it's not supposed to.

That's good to know. I implemented it in a bluetooth MIDI switch box I made, but it is very confusing. I ended up using a Bluefruit from adafruit as it has a battery connection which is almost plug and play.

Been editing with the GR-55 wireless bluetooth connected to my Windows 10 laptop with the GR-55FloorBoard editor and using the laptop generic built-in bluetooth adapter to a CME WIDI Master plugged into the GR-55 midi ports.
Works fine for a while until it stops with "run out of allocated endpoints" error.

Builds fine on Mac OS 12, but waiting on a USB Bluetooth adapter to arrive for BLE checking,

just deployed a build to IOS simulator which seems to run, except displaying in landscape mode on a portrait mode device,
tomorrow will try a build/deploy to a real iPAD and see what happens.

Must be a macOS Emulator machine

Every Mac since 2012 supports BLE

Yes  many different Mac OS versions running on a windows 11 PC.
Some devices like Bluetooth require specific hardware for Mac OS.

I would love to be able to edit my devices on my iPad that would make life so much better. It would also be great to not have so many USB cables on my PC. Nice work, wish I was as smart as you.

More progress on this track, after a major rebuild of my development environment.
My new custom PC now has 3 x SSD, one for Windows 11, one for Linux Ubuntu, and one for Mac OS Monterey.
so I can boot up my computer and choose which operating system to run.

running on the Mac Monterey system a bit recently (home off work due to finally catching that virus thing that has been going around), and from the Mac I can develop IOS apps for the iPad/iPhone.

Today I finally cracked the IOS Bluetooth enigma, and have a copy of GR-55FloorBoard controlling my GR-55 on an iPad with the WIDI Master BLE plugged into the GR-55.

Finally the determination has paid off, the app in it's native form is not very tablet friendly in layout, but there can be a tablet version coming.

Now I shall smuggly moonwalk around in satisfaction.
