**Mustang GT/GTX - Run Fender Tone app full screen on Mac/Win PC with Samsung DEX**

What is Samsung DeX?

Pay attention to the specific short list of Samsung Galaxy devices that support DEX

In general the lower cost Samsung models ( like A10) do not support DEX
https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062657/
DeX is available on Galaxy S9, S10, S20, S21, Note8, Note9, Note10, Note 20, and Z Fold series phones, and Galaxy Tab S4, S5e, S6, and S7 series tablets.

I prefer the Galaxy S10+ phone as my daily driver - the last model that still has a Headset jack

How to setup

1 ) Install Fender Tone (Android) on your Samsung DEX compatible Android device

2 ) Verify you can launch Fender Tone, log in with your registered Fender account User ID credentials and successfully connect to a Mustang GT/GTX Amp via wireless Bluetooth Low Energy - test that all works as normal

3 ) On Windows or Mac, Install Samsung DEX app, and use a USB-C data cable between your Samsung DEX Android phone/tablet  and Windows or Mac,
Launch and click on upper right window size box to allow DEX to run in a full screen window on your  Win/Mac PC
Now you can use your Windows PC Keyboard, Mouse , Mouse Scroller wheel,  Touchpad, Touchscreen HID controls to navigate Fender Tone app
When DEX is running , it should look like this

4 ) Click on the Apps Access icon on lower left corner of DEX screen, opens the Android Apps view ,  Click on Fender Tone to Launch Fender Tone

5 ) Within seconds Fender Tone connects to your Mustang GT/GTX amp via BLE  and Syncs all your installed presets.
My amp was on Patch # 145 Harmonic Tremors as current patch

6 ) At bottom center of screen, click "Download" to access the Fender Tone Cloud Patch Server

7 )  Browse Categories

8 ) Load a Preset from Fender Tone Cloud - I selected this one  - it loaded in seconds

9 ) Edit the patch , using Mouse, TouchScreen, Touchpad HID Input method on your Win/Mac PC
here I'll edit the AMP block by swapping the current CAB type ( learn to do this  on any patch to suit your needs !)

10 ) Example of changing the AMP type  - to Boogie MK IIC+ LEAD

11 ) Example of Editing the AMP GAIN

12 ) Access the Mustang GT/GTX Fender Tone app Global Settings

13 ) Manage your Setlists

14 ) Using Samsung DEX, your Win/Mac PC operates like a giant Android device and runs most Android apps

Of course there may be other ways get this accomplished - but I was surprised how well this works with hardware I currently own.

How about an Apple IOS  user strategy?
Of course some Android devices or iPad  can scale to suit the connected HDMI Monitor
I understand Fender used an iPad connected to large HDMI connected Display  using  compatible USB Hub with HDMI Out for the NAMM demo of Fender Tone seen here

Ipad Pro users can use this one

IPhone / iPad  users  on latest IOS version can use the Apple Lightning A/V  adapter to drive a larger HDM Display- and a Bluetooth Mouse/Keyboard

Many Android Phones can use similar strategy with a compatible HDMI adapter
