I just had to buy a new computer and the chive went for a new iMac 24", now I'd love to use either my GP-10 or my VG-99 as midi interface.
I strongly suspect that it's not possible. Any hints?

It's the same I have in mind. :P
VG99 in USB standard mode should be coremidi compliant and coreaudio 16 bit compliant and also GP10 should.

Thank you both. Do you mean I won't be able to use my GP-10 with my new M1 at all unless they'll come out with a new driver in the future?
BTW, I just tried to connect my VG 99 via USB after setting it to standard, opened a Logic session and nothing seems to happen...
Did you mean I should get note-on messages this way?
Thanks again.

Must 1st enable VG-99 Guitar to MIDI , else no MIDI Note on/off messages are transmitted

GP-10 lacks the "Standard Mode" USB found in VG-99

You are out of luck as no GP-10 USB driver for Apple M1 CPU macs exist

And no 5 pin MIDI I/O on GP-10

I stand corrected. Thanks.
I was mislead by the fact that my GP10
works flawlessly with my Raspberry Pi.
However, for the benefit of the original poster,
If you have a Raspberry and a USB to MIDI cable as
Roland's UM-one-MK2 you can gift your GP10 with a 5 pin midi interface.
Latency is not horrible and I can play hardware  synths with good results.
Because UM-one-MK2 has M1 drivers you can connect GP10 to your computer if you have two of that (you can buy one for cheap to connect to Raspberry and keep the Roland to connect to M1) you can play softsynths as well but due to many conversions latency might become high. I have tried by
Gp10 to Roland um to audio usb card with midi in /out and it worked. Latency for playing zebra synth was not too high.

Hope this helps

GP-10 Drivers finally out, noticed this week, pretty sure they were not listed last week.

Anyway here: https://www.boss.info/global/support/by_product/gp-10/updates_drivers/

Now, still waiting for GR-55 drivers: not sign yet but hope they follow soon.

Great news! Tested and it works fine. That's one of the best news of the last six months. The little yellow box is alive!

Hello! Thanks for the info, but I'm not finding any updated drivers at the links that were posted. It seems that 2017 is the latest and, of course, is not silicon compatible.  Am I missing something?
Many thanks,
Tom
