Hi there, first best wishes to everyone!!  I'm a newby so i hereby humbly pose my question. I use PT9 with Digidesign003, Midiman 4x4, and AX 100 with latest firmware, I believe.

When i hook it up I can only use Axon with midi out to PT's midi in and play/record and then i have to switch cables (PT midi out to Axon midi in, and unplug Axon out to PT in) or else Axon goes apeshit, and gets very very slow and won't make a sound anymore. I think the problem is that Axon gets to much data back. But what is the problem. I'm not a midi geek so anybody can help me on this?

thanks,
Robin

Hi Robin

Nothing unusual there - the Axon sends out its patch data as systems exclusive information AFAIR and gets into a terrible tizz if it receives it just after it sends it.

You'll need a midi filter on the output of protools to remove the offending messages.  Can't tell you what to do in more detail - I use Logic myself.
