Wow! That must be a real stressful job. Very interesting field though. Would love to chat one day.

My initial comments are really driven by where I live. Out here we regularly experience Richer scale 6+ earthquakes. Its almost a national hobby & obsession to earthquake proof your home.

A 6.6 quake I experienced not long ago had epi-center about 250 miles away with a depth of only 25 miles. Let me tell you something... I felt similar sensations to what I feel when I go surfing but this time only standing up in the middle of a room. It was crazy. Only couple people got minor injuries and all of them were related to things like plates or other objects falling on them from shelves. No serious injuries thankfully! None of my amps came down either!

So anyways. Sorry for the long rant about quakes and their potential effect on gear.! Be safe!

The worst we get in terms of quakes is this.

We only barely felt a tremor here although I do remember in the mid 70's dishes getting shaken from cupboards and minor damage only. Not in the same league though.

@Elboy for sure you need a good handle on H & S and you dudes are worth your salaries, the jobsworths who populate most offices not so much. They only get the job because they were the only ones who volunteered for the 2 day course, you know the types.

Professional H & S definitely has a place in the workplace.
