Hi everybody!

New EHX Effectology Video
Electro-Harmonix Effectology, Vol.13  Pink Floyd Synth Effects

"Welcome To The Machine" preformed on just a guitar and effect pedals.

In this episode I recreate the the synthesizers and tape effects from the classic Pink Floyd recording "Welcome To the Machine".
It so cool to see whats possible with effect pedals!

If you do not own all these pedals experiment with ones you have that are similar
Thanks for listening,
Bill Ruppert

Hey - I have the identical Norelco Shaver - just need to add those missing Electro- Harmonix pedals, Bill's ears, talent, and time! ;)

By careful comparison of the FX resources, signal chain strategies, and playing techniques  which Bill has nicely crafted and demonstrated here, much of these sound design techniques can be duplicated using other gear you may have laying about  - say like a VG-99. ;)

Although i love how Electro-Harmonix delivers FX pedals with more user controls into sonic mayhem that scare most guitar players. In the wrong hands  - one can get rapidly evicted with these!

Wonderful job Bill!

Thanks guys!
Well the great thing about the NPR post is that it is seen by a lot of people who are NOT guitar players or even musicians.
My hope is that it will open the eyes up to some folks about what a guitar can really do!
The guitar has an unlimited vocabulary and it's fun to show the world what what is possible with our instrument.

The guitar has an unlimited & timeless vocabulary and you are a true poet & virtuoso at putting it to great use! Hats off once again.

Bravo.  I also love the acoustic part because one of the neat things about that track was the juxtaposition
of big synthesizer influence but the chiming strummed acoustic guitars in that track.  Really nice.  Looks like
Bill has a dreadnaught going there.
