Great work, MCK! I'm delighted to note that our long-suffering European friends, just getting their  DF guitars, now form the greatest proportion of our membership! ;D

Ok. You're on thin ice here RS. Lets not get sucked into race, religion, politics etc discussions which usually go nowhere in the end. Not judging your opinion at all. Thanks for your understanding.

I like zooming all the way in & clicking on folks' names.   Usually, you see a house & a neighborhood.

Due to generic placements, lots of folks look like they live in the middle of fields....   Or basalt flows....  Judging from the aerial view of the building, it looks like Elantric lives in a GuitarCenter.

You nearly got it. With his rich knowledge, Elantric is the real Guitar Competence Center!  ;)

I put my pin in the field where I used to live as a youth. Well thats where I used to wake up after a heavy session of ale sampling.

That gives the phrase "going back to your roots" a truly new meaning!!!  ;D

Ok. Time for another tally. As our overall membership is pushing 180 we now have 35 members with a pin to their name on the member map! Kudos for taking the time and claiming your pin-head worth of space in our virtual world.

As before, Europe is leading the pack and UK deserves special mention in that! So without further ado, here goes...

Americas     -> 14
Europe        -> 20 (with 10 coming from UK alone!!!)
Asia Pacific  -> 1

Less than 20% of the membership has put a pin in the map - come on guys and girls, don't be shy  ;)

Sympodius

Awesome. Does that mean the UK has the largest number of members per head of population?

Sorry, but based on members per population I have to correct you Zipidy.

Populations:

USA Population - 304 Million (members - 14).....21.7 million/member

Canada Population - 33 Million (members - 1)....33 million/member

UK Population - 61 Million (members - 10).........6.1 million/member

Europe Population (excluding the UK) - 670 Million (members - 10)...67 million/member

Sorry, don't mean to be anal about this.  It's just the engineering background coming out in me  ::)

Riiiiiiiight. I thought you meant the population of FGN!

Don't forget our founding father...

Japan Population - 127 Million (members - 1)....127 million/member

MCK-fgn

Don't think we have a good count of the FGN member demographics. Anybody's guess is as good as mine. Meanwhile, I, MCK, represent alone the most populous geography in the world... 1 Dark Fire per 3 billion people make it very very hard indeed... Feeling an ego trip coming my way! Let me disappear while there is still time.

Yes, Asia has got a little catching up to do.  Alternatively, Asia has a high number but they all got theirs early and are busy 'playing' them  ;)

According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asia it's actually 4 billion !!!

4,050,404,000

I suspect most of the collector units Elantric has been talking about will be in some vaults in Japan... Never to be heard from again!

Sympodius

This is probably a tad off topic, but a friend of mine did his PhD on the differences of internet use between people from different parts of the world. He always told me that there are 'multiple internets' which don't cross over much. As in, the subsets of the internet don't actually have many connections to the other subsets. I wonder if FGN just isn't linked into the Asia subset?

Hi Panrixx. Isn't Cornwall a seperate country. You got your own flag. Whats the ratio of DF owners to head of population there. I bet you win hands down. :)
