I want to mod a GR300 But can't figure out how to remove the top preamp board. I removed the three screws but it looks to be held by three white colored plastic spacers. I don't want to accidentally break them, And I'm not familiar with how to work with them to free the top PCB so I can access and mod the lower PCB.

Any tips?

Thanks for the tip - I'm familiar with the Jones site and the mod I'm doing is documented there.

What I didn't find on the page or in the links is the answer to my question, which is how to remove the preamp boards, and specifically how to get past the three white board spacers.

Hoping someone can give me an experimental answer beyond the documents.

Thanks!

Thanks for this link. I need to fix my GR300 which stopped working last time I used it (after a long time of disuse)

Prehaps just a recap? In case you need a few of these,

"Analogue Renaissance AR3109 voltage-controlled filter chip, for Roland synthesizers. The original Roland IR3109 chip appears in the top photo; these chips have been long out of production, and we now have brand new clone chips just released by Analogue Renaissance (lower photo). These clones sound identical to the originals."

Thanks. Feel confident it will be the caps but it is good to know there are chips available.
