My Roland VG-8 S1 is not updated, how can this be possible?

I recently purchased a Roland VG-8 S1, but to my disappointment it is not updated to version S1. How could this have happened?

Does it have an internal S1 card or do I need one?

I already own a Boss GP-10, which was my first contact with VG-Guitar. But VG-8, it has always been my dream.

Can you help me?

Thank you, Chrish.

I misunderstood that silk screened "S1" on my VG-8. I was thinking that it was a S1 expanded one.  :(

yes, that indicates that the update was done, but I thought you said that for some reason it does not have the update.

Check to see if it has any of the following all added with the s1 update. If so, then it has the update already installed.

But that does pose an interesting question.  Once updated can  that update be lost somehow?

Vio Guitar model,

Pickups:Tele, P90,Lips, PAF,CHET, SSH

Fx: Flanger

Pitch shift: Harmo, Pedal

Body types

Poly manager;,eq, limiter, enhancer, flow

Sp and mic; British 2x12, modern stack, Clasic 4×10

Amps; SLDN, British combo modern stack

All 1995 VG-8's have that same "S1" silkscreen on the far right near the Bank ^ footswitch  - in this context the "S1" refers to alternate access to the GK S1 Switch
the "S1" on the far right does NOT mean its been Expanded with the S1 update

Much confusion can be eliminated by  READING

Yeah, I noticed this, too late.

Thank you, I'm looking for a S1 card to update, worldwide.
