Any chance this is possible on the GR 55?

Mrchevy

With the exception of the vocals, I didn't hear anything that couldn't be reproduced with the GR55, including the drums. Roland has been stuck in the 80's when it comes to synth sounds, so just start scrolling thru the PCM sounds and I'm sure you'll find something in there. Don't forget the effects and EQ to tweak it with when you find something close. Hell, you may even find a dead match for what you want.

And, a lot of stuff I DON'T need

Are you talking keyboard or guitar sound?

I was mostly interested in the synth part (I assume that's what it is) that's at the start.

Sorry should have been more specific 😵

It looks like they used the Roland Jupiter 8 on Call Me
QuoteRoland Jupiter 8 (the main "Call Me" pad)

And going by the current boutique JP8 sounds https://www.roland.com/uk/products/jp-08/, the HI Brass seems to be the closest. I could probably get a brass sound, but the trick will be lush reverb / delay and the slight portamento at the start of the chords ( I assume - dont' know waht I am talking about)
