GT-001 used live

I am after a GT-001 used for live gigs. I need only patch selection (Up/down) not Program Change direct access.
Can a pair of FS5 or FS6/FS7 do? Anybody using it live in this way? (GT-100 is too bulky and heavy for my spine)

in 2 weeks the GT-1 ships - but its half the signal flow of GT-100 / GT-001

When I did the compatibility testing for MIDX with a borrowed GT-001 I found the GT-001 to be a fantastic thing. I'd really want it myself if I build a new lightweight rig in combination with my FTP.
