I found a way to load GR 33 patches with the P33 file extension on a MAC with out using any librarian or patch editor. Change the file extension to .syx and load the patch using SysEx Librarian.

It sounds as if that would work with any OS.

Ludgerhesse used to have a site with numerous patches. I've downloaded all of them. Maybe we can find a place to store them here?

On my way to bed right now, but I have 233 patches and 24 patch collections that I can upload.

These are NOT my patches. I've collected all the patches I could find from the various GR-33 users on the Internet.

I probably won't have the time to upload them until Tuesday. I'll also upload the explanation texts from the creators of the patches.

Kenact, that would be excellent. I'm seriously thinking of using my GR33 again 8)

I also have a few patches that I've created, for things like The Eagles - Take It Easy, where I use the arpeggiator to add the banjo at the bridge and the end.

Just got a new Macbook Pro, so I'd be real interested in a patch repository.

Yesterday I bought again the GR-33 believing it can bravely face the GR-55, which I sold as it did not impress me much. What an excitement when I've found that one of you nice guys preserved even my very old set of patches! Today I'm going to test my Mac's ability to transfer the patches into GR-33 and let's move back some 12 years ago when tracking was relatively slower (who cares, I'm a slow hand) bud synths were synths and no hybrids. When you had limitless possibilities to combine two sounds together and spice them with a working arpeggiator...

I'd love to understand what this means and how it sounds!

Many GR-33 features on display here
Around 5 minutes you can see chords being played,  but arpeggios are heard

The GR-33 has  user programmable Arpeggiator function built in,
while the GR-55 has a few arpeggiated tones, but no actual Arpeggiator with in.

Thank you both! I'll watch the YouTube now!

And that patch looks incredible @gumtown! I just today found that editor and downloaded it and OMG it seems buggy AF (drop down lists appearing on the other side of the screen?)! Nonetheless, it made me realize just how infantile my GR-33 knowledge really is!

Thanks again!

I just picked up a 33 and I'm in the process of integrating it into my SY1000 rig.  I'm impressed with some of the slightly off-the-wall capabilities like the wah and glide, it will provide some sparkle and realism from the samples I'm missing in the SY, and it's a source of controllers too - what's not to like!

I think what that quote means is that the 33 allows you to layer two tones and apply the arpeggiator to either or both of them.
