Just wondering if with usage internal memory of RC-1 will wear. As far as I know there's no backup battery in it.

Thanks

I'd be surprised if the RC-1 had any Flash Memory to wear.  And if it did, it would only wear on writes and you'll likely never see the issue (assuming 10,000 writes).

There is no save (storage) feature on the RC-1.  You have one song and when you turn it off, it goes away, right?  That likely means no flash.

I assume the RC-1 uses regular RAM memory. Flash is usually just used as a backup for RAM. It's a bit easier to work with and while flash is cheaper at scale I doubt it pays off in this case.   Typically Boss needs to be stopped and have the save button pressed to store in flash memory (which gets in the way of using RC-1/3/5 as a multiple phrase looper).

RC-1 retains loops when switched off and no battery inside. That's why I was wondering. 10'000 writes are a ton but in intensive usage you can easily make it. 365 days a year each day of usage at least 10 writes (typical), makes three years.
