Some have expressed interest on the stand alone technology for Profiling, Capturing or modeling so this machine learning open source project might be fun to look at !

From sdatkinson on GitHub/RunawayThumbtack on YouTube :

🎉Neural Amp Modeler is open-source!🎉
🧠Train your own models: https://github.com/sdatkinson/neural-...
⚡️Make your own plugins: https://github.com/sdatkinson/iPlug2

https://github.com/sdatkinson/neural-amp-modeler - the training code
https://github.com/sdatkinson/iPlug2 <- puts it into a plugin. You'll specifically want to open the solution under `Examples/NAM` (this is my first plugin, so I just took one of the examples and made the changes I needed to get the net in there & minimal anything else)

To get things started, I've included the weights for a few models of my own analog gear (demoed here against the source tones):
* My T-Fuzz
* My Deluxe Reverb
* A single model that combines the T-Fuzz into the fully-dimed DR!

🎥Previous demos:
* Versus Kemper: https://www.facebook.com/permalink.ph...
* Versus Quad Cortex: https://www.facebook.com/permalink.ph...

🔪Sharp edges🔪
* This _is_ source code, so it's regrettably not going to be super-accessible to folks without some coding background...I'm going to continue developing both the code and hopefully some ideas to make it more accessible 🙂
* This _is_ deep learning, and you _are_ training models from scratch. With a decent GPU, it'll take a couple hours; without a GPU...you might want to use a cloud service! (The plugin works just fine on a consumer CPU 👍)

Enjoy!

The project developer sdatkinson popped into the Gear Page Thread to answer questions in support of the project. :

This might be a new one, but about a year ago I tried one (maybe this one?) that some people were raving about.  It was incredibly difficult to get anything to capture, and they never really sounded like the sound it was "profiling".

I might try this one, but if it reminds me of the other one, I won't be spending so much time with it.  I spent 2 weeks trying to get the other one to work, and then bailed.  That's when I found out that others had the same problem.   People bailed out from it.
