A tip for those making even very basic wiring mods.

I made some extensive spaghetti wiring mods to my guitar ages ago. I wrote down all the wire colours and what they were for. Thankfully I have not lost that information, but translating pnk-gr-stripe etc is a pain.

When making up an auxiliary GK13 output to link my GR55 to VG99 (space permitting, the same thing could be fitted to any GK unit), it occurred to me to make this sheet up before wiring anything. This avoids trying to describe the colours of the wires and later having to interpret that information. It's going to make fitting it into the unit a lot easier.
Later, when the wires fall off, or when I'm just nosing around inside the unit, it'll make following the flow easier too.

The (as yet unconnected) tails will be connected in parallel with the wires that connect to the original GK13 socket.

This mod is intended to be used with any (good quality) unmodified GK cable to interconnect the GR55 with another GK unit.

The solder tags for pins 12 & 13 have been cut flush on the back of the socket.

More info on the topic of splitting GK13 (including the schematic I used for my mod) can be found  at both of the following:
