Does anyone dial in saxophone sound from SY-200 and share with us the settings ?

Thanks

It's not that kind of synthesizer. You'd need a PCM synth. Also the sy-200 is limited in the editing department so that makes it even worse for trying.

The best way to implement the SY 200 in in the effects loop of your floor processor. Say you use the GT 1000... you can place the SY anywhere you want and have all the GT effects to add to the SY 200 and the GT will select patches via midi. You can do the same with any other effects processor and you could put in the loop of the SY 1000 if you want to go crazy.

When you use the pedal think more along the lines of vintage synths and not something to recreate other instruments. You can get sudo organ and strings out of it but if you compared them with sampled sounds it would not even come close.

If you want a sax sound I recommend a saw wave lead sound and put some thick chorus effect on it. It won't sound like a sax but it will sit in the mix good.

Thanks for the info. BTW, I miss my GR-55.
