I love the sound of the Duduk, so I thought I'd try to recreate one with the SY1000.

Not really that close, but it gives the impression of a genuine reed instrument that has just not been made/discovered yet!

*Note the breath controller works on midi channel 7 so re-assign those parameters to expression pedals etc if you don't have a breath controller!

Yea, it's not just the programming, which is impeccable. It is also the amazingly well-crafted demos!!

Maybe you already informed us but can't find it,
what breath controller are you using?

(I.e. what do you recommend? I used to play flute an clarinet in my youth so I feel it could be fun to get one)
But I got more gear than I need...and I like it!

I use the MRT Audio breath controller.

I used to use the TEC control 2 which is more flexible as it has bite control along with tilt control and great for USB and DAW. For me the MRT was more sturdier and and can be adjusted on the fly without the use of a computer.

I'll pop a video up using it with the SY1000 in a couple of weeks.

Keep an eye out for the Photon (which isn't released yet).

Probably won't be cheap, but it'll be the next big thing for B.C.

I saw a prototype demo and nearly passed out from the cool of it.

Could you use a standard passive vol pedal plugged in to EXP 1 or would you need a midi controller pedal for that?

Echidna

Okay I think I worked it out.  Just changed all the assigned controllers that were on controller 7 to EXP 1. Heaps of fun thanks for the patch though I'm sure the breath controller makes it work as you intended.
cheers Greg
