I changed my bridge ...
These shown here are a replacement part for a 6 hole Vintage Tremolo.

Got a couple of these replacement Aluminium Bridges to try out.  ;)
These are proto types I have here, 1st in oz, that I've put onto my 'Redback' Red Quilt Strat GK-3
Can get them as Anodised, these ones I have are Polished Aluminium.

Weight of Original 6 Hole Vintage Trem + Block with Original Saddles ..... 325 grams
(Not including 6 mounting screws)

Weight of this 6 Hole Replacement Bridge + Block with Graph Tech Saddles ...... 317 grams
(Not including 6 mounting screws)

You still have the trem block attached and springs for earthing ..... This is a replacement part !!  ::)
I haven't put a piece of wood between the Block and the Trem cavity wall, But will be doing that.

The way I have it now.
Works great, easy to fit ...  ;D
I just added some Graph Tech Saddles and away we went !!

Very comfy now and the GK-3 pup sits, where it originally was nicely in front of it.
Kind of out of the way .... as to speak.
Even if the GK-3 pup was turned around the other way, would be out of the way with this new bridge.

These are made as a replacement for 6 hole vintage tremolos.
BUT ....
They come in other styles as well .... Strat flat mount, Tele flat mount etc for different string spacing.

If using with a pickguard, need to cut some out.
But these will be available sometime as well.

I think it looks good on this one.

Cheers Zum  ;D

Q... What kind of advice can you give me ?   Tommy Emmanuel's reply ....

You move your hand Up and Down that long bit and the music comes out of that Big Black Box behind you !!

Interesting Aluminum bridge - but I'd miss the use of my tremolo arm.
. . . the future ain't what it used to be . . .

Very nice.  But I have to ask: where do you get the custom neckplate?  That's great!  I want to make one for my custom "orange crush".

Thanks  ;D

Made from a guy in Texas from the Warmoth forum. $40 each
Here's a link to his (rather long) custom plate thread ...  http://www.unofficialwarmoth.com/index.php?topic=34007.0

Can PM him (DangerousR6) from that forum, and I usually send him description and some pic's or drawings of what I'd like.
Or something I found around the web !!
He is great to work with, meaning good correspondence between him & you.

Dose some other stuff too, Truss covers etc.

Here's a few he's done for me.
