Guys, some of you are aware I am going through a hard time at the moment.
I suffer from Cluster Headaches, and this current bout has been going on since 3rd January.

Here's the lowdown on CH...

http://www.ouch-us.org/downloads/ch_syndrome.pdf

At a support forum, I was persuaded to post a demo of a song I have been working on with my friend Simon Wright.
Simon is an episodic Migraine sufferer. He had never heard of CH before we met and came up with the lyrics after us swopping war stories.
It's a of song of defiance against the beast that haunts us !!
So I thought, what the hell, I might as well share with you guys as well seen as I've never posted anything  :)

NOTE- basic tracks/monitor mix.

I'm numbnose over there btw as, after one particularly nasty attack my nose went numb for a day or so!!!

Thanks heaps for sharing & take care of yourself......Cheers Zum

Q... What kind of advice can you give me ?   Tommy Emmanuel's reply ....

You move your hand Up and Down that long bit and the music comes out of that Big Black Box behind you !!

Simon, I listening to Survivor as I write - very, very nice!

With all this writing, it's great to hear were the rubber meets the road...

Sorry to hear about your CH problem Simon I can only imagine how bad that it would be, I get the odd migraine but nothing on this scale. I hope you can manage it to minimise the attacks or get help from the docs.

The song was excellent and very enjoyable to listen to.

Simon, great track! Thanks a lot for sharing with us.

I can see this track becoming the audio for a CH awareness campaign. Its amazing how unaware we all are with a medical condition that is so significant for its sufferers. I sincerely hope you get some relief soon and somehow, somewhere, some new therapies emerge giving you and all other CH sufferers around the globe a way to treat this condition. My thoughts and prayers are with you my friend. Please feel free to reach out if there is anything I can do for you.

All the best.

Thanks folks, I really appreciate your concern.
Yep, it truly is an awful disorder. Getting hammered 5-8 times a day and my main line of defence, high-flow oxygen, has decided to stop being effective.

Anyway, this is a music forum, not an agony aunt!!!
Cheers for the comments on the tune. Yes its me fiddling away on acoustic in the background.Need to fix the bass and put some kind of solo in the break. Also not sure about the piano!

My wife suffers from migraines so I understand that pain.Nice sounding vocals and a good straight forward production.

Elboy

Very nice song.  Well written and very well performed.  I have listened to it a few times and i think the bass sits nice.  Also not sure if i would mess with it re a guitar solo. 8 bars of piano might slot in very nicely with perhaps a few simple strings (violin, Viola).  I loved the simplicity of it and also the Chorus.  Great words.
