This goes out to Steve and any moderators/admins that help out here:

Many guitarists find ourselves needing to add drums to a project or a gig, without being able to add a physical drummer for whatever reason. So, we start thinking about drum machines/solutions of various shapes, sizes, functionality, performance.

I'm thinking it would be a great resource to have a forum category for drum solutions. Perhaps a sub-category for "General," and other sub-categories for various drum machines or other approaches.

I started thinking about this as I've run into limitations with the solutions I've tried so far. Perhaps a Drum Solutions category, and sub-categories for particular hardware/software/services would be a great way for us to discuss benefits, limitations, and some of the work-arounds for limitations.

Heck even a category for the real-drummer services that could be tried or have been tried -

I think this is an excellent forum idea carlb. In rock, a great drum pattern drives the guitar riff to a new level. You only need a drummer with a poor musical understanding, to completely ruin a track.

Great drums make a band or a track sound immensely better. All people think they hear are the other performances, but the drums are what makes it incredible - or not.

Steve, how do I get that guy on my tracks!?  ;D

And thanks!

I love that vid!

Pretty sure that's a Les Paul Signature there - my first electric - and sold it as a dumb kid.

Here's a latest demo, cut with the SDRUM. Four-four time back and forth with six-eight, using the three song parts the SDRUM supports ('Verse,' 'Chorus,' 'Bridge').
