Hi all you V-guitar/Bass Players. I got a V-bass around Christmas and found the VG-88 Editor/ librarian on the forum. I've linked the two together and they do communicate - however the program doesn't have a setting for "V-Bass" so there is no correlation of instrument/amp or effect.
It will accept a patch dump but not system, so I think I could back up my user patches.
I would like to adjust the GUI and settings to the V-Bass and wondered if anyone technical out there would have any info.
I suppose a MIDI map of a VG-88 would be a great start!

Thats going to be a daunting task

Download the MIDI Implementation docs   - that generation included the MIDI Implementation

BUT my 2 cents, There will be a lot of  Labor to cross port the VBass to the old VG-88 Vedit  - for the less than 100 global users who still use the 2001 era VBass

Its worth saving for a used 2009 VB-99 which does everything the VBASS does (and More ) and already has a working Roland VB-99 Editor / Librarian  - provided you are NOT on macOS Catalina
