I've had good luck with MOTU interfaces. Not much on these in terms of audio inputs.

Powering Your M-Series Interface with an iOS Device

As class-compliant audio interfaces, the M2 and M4 can be used with iOS devices. However, many iOS devices on their own may not supply enough power to reliably run an M-Series interface. In order to use your M-Series interface to its full ability, we recommend adding a powered USB hub and the Apple Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter to your setup.

Note: the powered USB hub and camera adapter are only required for use with iOS devices with Lightning connectors. iPads with USB-C ports should be able to power M-Series interfaces without issue.

When connecting your devices, make sure to do so in the following order:

M-Series interface to an input on the powered USB hub
Powered USB hub output to Camera Adapter with USB cable
Camera Adapter to iPad Lightning port
