Hotone Ampero FW V3 Update Guide Book
https://www.hotoneaudio.com/uploads/190531/MP-100(Ampero)_V3.0 Firmware Update Guide_EN_V02_190531.pdf

Ampero FW V3 Update worked like a breeze!

(My computer is a Win 7 64 (Dell) and USB 2.0 ports )

1 ) Download all new Ampero files from Hotone
https://www.hotoneaudio.com/support/29.html
http://www.hotoneaudio.com/downloads/software/Ampero/MP-100%20%28Ampero%29_Firmware_English_V2.1_190312.zip
http://www.hotoneaudio.com/downloads/software/Ampero/Ampero%20Editor%20Setup%201.2.0%20for%20Windows.exe
http://www.hotoneaudio.com/downloads/software/Ampero/Ampero%20Editor%20Setup%201.2.0%20for%20Mac.pkg

2 ) Uninstall the old Ampero Editor V1.1.1 (use "Ampero Editor V1.1.1 "Uninstall" application which was preinstalled in same folder as the app)

3) Install Ampero Editor V1.2

4 ) With Ampero powered off - connect via USB to the computer

5 ) Run the Ampero Editor V1.2 app ( it will say "Device not Connected)

6 ) On Ampero , Hold down the "3" + "CTRL" footswitches + the Menu/Value Knob - and while holding all three down, power Ampero "ON"

7 ) Launch Ampero Editor V1.2 app ( it will say "Device Connected)

8 ) On Ampero Editor V1.2 app , Click "UPDATE"

9 On my Computer, it prompted me to find the drive location of my "MP-100 (Ampero)_Firmware_English_V3.0_190530.bin" file - I located it and selected it - the Firmware update procedure now started - with moving bar % status displayed on the Ampero Editor V1.2 app

10) After 90 seconds, the Ampero FW V3.0 update procedure completed - with the Ampero LCD screen going dark, and Ampero Editor V1.2 app indication "UPDATE COMPLETE"

11) On Ampero, turn the power "Off"

12) On Ampero, turn the power "ON" - and after the normal 12 second boot-up - I now have the Ampero running with FW 3.0, and connected to Ampero Editor V1.2 app  -all all working !

Very happy with Hotone's attention to responding to the Ampero community with this FW 3.0 update!

Ampero Editor Release Note

Version 1.2.2
Released 7/12/2019

New Features

+ Firmware V3.1 support added

Version 1.2.1
Released 6/6/2019

Precaution

IMPORTANT - Use with V3.0 firmware ONLY. The new software will no longer recognize Ampero units with previous firmware (V2.1 and earlier).
The patches of the earlier firmware versions are now not compatible with this V3.0 firmware due to the new features and fatal changes, which means, after updating firmware, ALL YOUR PATCHES IN YOUR AMPERO WILL BE REPLACED BY THE NEW FACTORY/USER PATCHES, AND YOUR CUSTOM IR FILES WILL ALSO BE CLEARED.
Please be sure to export the patches you want to keep by using Ampero Editor V1.1.1 (with V2.1 firmware) before updating. After updating, you can import them via new Ampero Editor (The Editor will automatically convert your old patch files to new version so that you can use them with V3.0 firmware).
If you accidentally updated to the new firmware before backing up your patches, to get the old patches back, you can roll back to earlier firmware versions (load earlier firmware files when updating) before you edit/save patches with new firmware.

Bug Fixes

- Some effects in Effect List have no image – FIXED
- Device cannot be recognized when there is no internet connection – FIXED
- Ampero Editor may crash when loading some IR files with high sample rate – FIXED
- Wrong prompts when loading IR files – FIXED

Seems to be isolated to Windows 8.1 64 Pro users.

However,  Ampero Editor V1.2.2 works fine on Windows 7 64 Pro and MacOS
