Ultimate A / D, D / A conversion, 32 bit INTEGER / 384 kHz

Ahead of the world, next generation flagship machine Steinberg AXR 4T realized recording and playback of 32 bit / 384 kHz file.

■ AXR 4T Main Features

1. Up to 32 bits / 384 kHz Recording playable

In order to realize high sound quality with digital audio, A / D, D / A conversion is an important process. As a result of a careful selection of parts and repeated research aiming at ultimate A / D and D / A conversion, I came to the current specification including 32 bit integer converters. As a result, the AXR 4T became the interface which can record and reproduce the high resolution audio signal most accurately and cleanly.

A sampling rate of up to 384 kHz allows you to set the anti-aliasing filter frequency much higher than the audible band, reproducing transients, stereo images, and recording environments in more detail.

2. Hybrid microphone preamplifier that captures performance faithfully and more attractively

The four hybrid microphone preamplifiers equipped at the front are made up of an analog section that records the sound as it is and a digital section that realizes a musical and airy sound.
Under the Yamaha philosophy "pursuit of natural sound", the analog section carefully examines the important elements of the analog circuit such as mechanical structure, circuit layout, selection of power supply, ground and parts, carefully examining and repeating measurement and verification, Ultimately, we thoroughly evaluated it with internal and external engineers and adjusted the sound.

The digital division accurately models Rupert Neve Designs' transformers and SILK processing using Yamaha's proprietary modeling technology VCM technology and adds musical depth and texture to the sound. There are two modes of SILK, the BLUE mode emphasizes the mid-low range, and the RED mode emphasizes the harmonic overtones of the mid-high range.

3. Built-in latency-free system 28 x 24 matrix mixer installed

Yamaha's custom-made DSPX chip allows you to build a latency-free system using a 28 x 24 matrix mixer, such as routing input signals and DAW outputs to a mix bus.
With the dspMixFx AXR application installed on the Mac you can control all the settings in a window such as a mixer, matrix mixer, meter, etc., and always be able to grasp the level and routing situation. These settings can be saved as a scene and can be called freely later.

4. Four premium DSP effects built in

The AXR 4T has four premium DSP effects.
EQ 601 has reproduced the popular equalizer since the 1970s and has its unique distortion characteristics. Compressor 276 reproduces the analog style compressor often used in the recording studio. Reverb's REV-X provides smooth attenuation, spreading, depth, high density and rich reverberation. And Sweet Spot Morphing Channel Strip can easily obtain optimum setting of side chain compatible compressor and 3 band parametric equalizer using morphing function. The VST software version of all these plugins is also included.

5. 32 bit integer compatible Cubase AI included

AXR 4T is compatible with all audio editing, mastering, and music production software supporting the Core Audio standard.
Cubase AI included with AXR 4T can record and play back with 32 bit integer (maximum 192 kHz), so you can maximize the possibilities of AXR 4 T. You can also operate AXR 4T directly from Cubase.
