To be honest, Id rather have a "gently used" VG-99 that has been powered up time to time
vs a N.O.S. VG-99 still in the box  that has never been powered up in over 10 years.

Why?

The internal Electrolytic Caps tend to dry out and fail from just sitting there unused for 10 years  - without "reforming"

...yeah.. I did think about that when I read the ad..   ;)

..but felt (somehow!) duty-bound to this place to put the thread up .... ::)

If nothing else, it will be interesting to see how long it takes to get a bite...

At over $1,000 more than a used one and located in South Korea to boot, I would be amazed if it sold for the asking price.

True especially since I've seen many VG 99"s go for $450 on eBay these days

The rare VB-99 often goes for twice the price of used  VG-99
