Another note about MIDI USB  interfaces:

I just received my Roland cable and while on Windows everything works great on the Mac os x interface is practically useless. ??? I also ordered M-audio MIDISPORT UNO (some have problems with it) and it works great on both systems.  :o  ???  :-\ In this situation, I am unable to recommend a specific interface. If one does not work - return it and try it with another one.

UPDATE :After some vodoo roland Um One mk2  works now on MAC: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=24&v=akP-IlX_Phk
UPDATE2: not working again - I started to hate mac's.

Hi Damien,

I finally got the chance to get a Kemper and try your editor with the M-Audio MIDISPORT 1x1. I am one of the unfortunate ones that the interface will not work correctly with Toast ME. After a while it stops receiving messages as reported by other users and yourself. Outbound messages keep working fine and can control the Kemper although blindly.

I stand my ground when I said a few posts before that the MIDISPORT can transmit and receive large sized Sysex messages. I use it with an Antares ATG system (big Sysex) as well as dumping IN and OUT large sized messages.

However, I did some troubleshooting with MIDI-OX and noticed that just before the interface stops receiving MIDI messages, the last "large" Sysex message was 231 Bytes, in fact most of the large Sysex messages are only 231 Bytes while in Stand-by (no changes). I can see the very large Sysex message are transmitted during initialization and that works flawlessly.

This makes me have a loose conclusion that might help to people with different types of MIDI interfaces.
I THINK the constant short timed querying of parameters causes the interface to fill up its internal memory in the long run before it can finish processing the queued messages. So the problem is not large messages (on the MIDISPORT) but in the amount of messages to process in a timely manner.
Solution?
Could you add an option to the MIDI settings that defines a timer in which you query the Kemper for its status and parameters? I know that increasing the value would add delay to the application reflecting changes but I think it is an acceptable trade-off for some people (including myself).

Do I make sense?

Cheers,
Christian

QuoteHow do  you use the Looper?

Hit record, play guitar, hit record once again to end recording of the loop and start playing. You can use RecCnt to count measures and record number of measures. The basic functions are almost the same as in the remote.

If you had a problem with an automatic RIG change during the start of the editor, just re-download the latest version. Error fixed.
