It's been a looooong few weeks, snatching every spare minute to work on this,
and so far, it's about 80% there.

Here is a preview, rather unfinished and unpredictable.
So far it can, connect to the GP-10, read all the patch names and populate the patch tree names,
Load any patch from the GP-10, and write any patch to the GP-10.
It can load and save *.syx format files, yet to do the Tone Studio file format.
It can read and edit all patch and system parameters except the Alternate tuning is not done yet,
and the Assigns will crash the program if the target knob is tweaked.

But here it is, in the raw, a preview release
http://sourceforge.net/projects/grfloorboard/files/GP-10/

It won't kill your GP-10, but I recommend backing up your GP-10 with the Tone Studio editor first,
and taking note your System/Global settings before playing with them.

Fantastic work !

Wasn't expecting this so soon , even as an offline patch FX parameter viewer , this will get lots of use as is.

For those new to this thread, show some appreciation to Gumtown  via a paypal donation to support further development of this great tool for Boss GP-10 owners.

Just wanted to add my sincere thanks for your efforts!  I will probably jump in and help beta test after my next gig.  I have a break in the schedule after that but don't want to screw with things in the GP-10 until then.

This looks great!

I have it running under Parallels on my MacBook Pro.

Some fonts are a bit wonky, but I can see how this is going to be great. It feels so GR-55 familiar  :D

Here's an ask, at least to the extent that it is just as easy to as to not do:  if you see opportunities to optimize for touch, please do!  The gumtown editors already work better with touch than BTS.  I think this is due to something in the way the event handlers work in Adobe AIR - they aren't really touch optimized.  Many of the BTS controls are slow to respond to touch and are therefore kind of jumpy when you first move them.  This isn't true with the Gumtown GR-55 editor, and hopefully won't be true of the new GP-10 editor either.

Anyway, just a humble request.  If there's anything that's realtively easy.  E.g. maybe the patch list font could be larger so it's easier to touch the right one with a fingertip.  If it's easy to make the patch list more of a "flick to scroll" than dragging a small, hard to touch scroll bar - that kind of thing.

Maybe we should get gumtown a Win touch device if he doesn't have one.  I would be willing to throw a few bucks that direction since I missed the first wave.  My experience has been that touch is much nicer than mousing, especially in the rehersal room or on stage.

Here is the latest update, it's about 85% there.
The system/global settings can be saved/loaded, which I don't think you can do with BTS.

http://sourceforge.net/projects/grfloorboard/files/GP-10

To Do's:
Chain order graphical dragging
Assign Min/Max to fix
colour templates
bulk patch file save/load
EZ-tone

The patch list fonts can be increased easy enough to make touch screen use easier.
The patch text functions work, so you can easily do a print out of your patch.

Just sent $50 US to Gumtown.  I'm about to become a GP-10 owner (on the way as I write this) and his work is invaluable.

It's supposed to be a 25.5 MB download, at this moment trying to upload an intact copy,
but the Sourceforge site only uploads 80% and stops.
That site must still have 'issues' for the time being.

OK !! Upload worked well, and it now downloads and installs as it should.
The un-installer doesn't seem to work at the moment.

Worked immediately and tested out a bunch of new, downloaded patches.

Thanks for the hard work (and the Mac version).

That is good to know it works,
I uploaded it late last night right after building it, but didn't get to test it.

I know the Fonts are too small on the mac version, and had to use the system comboboxes, as the Qt re-classed ones (orange & black) don't work right on OSX10.10.

There is still things to complete, like movable stompbox style chain order dragging, and bulk patch load/save.
And to do the Blue colour scheme, the yellow is not easy on the eyes.

Here is another update for windows and mac
http://sourceforge.net/projects/grfloorboard/files/GP-10/

I tried all sorts of different layouts to make the movable drag and drop chain fit into the workspace.
So I hope this method is easily usable.
The main colour is now blue, you can still choose yellow as a preference option.

Still to do the bulk patch file load/save, and perhaps add file compatibility with other devices.

Thanks for all your work Colin..
..I know it'll be appreciated by many!       :-*

(just gotta get my 'auxillary' Music Mac up-and-running now...   ....right after sorting the workshop floor..    ...sigh!)

Peter

Awesome piece of software. Works good using my touch screen ASUS TP300LA. One thing I would have loved is an option to create your own "landing page" for quick access in live situations. Or OSC/MIDI-support for on the fly live control. None the less, awesome. 8)
