Hi,

I´m new here, and this is my first post!
I have a GR-20, which I haven´t used for a long time. My way of recording music has changed since I last used the GR-20. Then I recorded the GR-20 via an analogue guitar cord from the GR-20 to my Roland VS 1680.
Now I record on a computer, and I would like to utilize the GR-20´s midi functions.
However, my soundcard (Focusrite scarlett) doesn´t have any midi connections. So, my question is; Do I need to buy a soundcard with midi connections, or is there another way for me to record midi signals from my VG-20 to my computer?

Best regards/

need a midi in to record (midi data - not audio) - no need to ditch the scarlett though just get a cheap midi usb 5 pin midi adaptor (there are some recommendations on here )
If you want audio - then it is output jack(s) into you your scarlett
