I have started using the ME-80 in manual mode to record guitar into my DAW via USB. I am not using any effects or amp sims... just as an audio interface and then use VST amp sims in the DAW software. The problem that I have is that the output level from the ME 80 is very low, even with the output volume turned up on the unit. if I apply amp simzand boost the levels, it is fine..   my goal is to just record an unprocessed guitar signal..Does anyone else have a similar issue? Thank you.

Be sure to read manual and set the USB level in the system area

Thank you, I already had the UBS level to 9 thinking that that could have been the problem as well.  The USB level is fine if I am using the amp sims on the ME-80, since I can adjust the level/gain.  It is only a problem of sending a very low USB signal when the ME-80 has no effects or sims applied.  I think my solution will be to use the AC sim as this seems to be the most transparent amp and colors the direct guitar sound the least.
