I hated the stock cable from Line 6 it was so stiff used to be like a lasso on the ground and trip everyone.  A little over a year ago I found these.  They are soft like a real guitar cord and have held up very well!

Official Line-6 Variax VDI Ethercon Cables are variable

The older ones from 2005 were stupid stiff

But my latest 2012 official Line 6 VDI cable is very soft and flexible.

I just received a 10' version of the cable in the OP. Does anyone else's have strain relief sleeves that don't run under the end housings? Mine end about 2mm from the housings, causing the cable to bend at a sudden angle when it's pressed against something. So they act more like strain multipliers than strain relievers. Hopefully I can figure out a DIY fix.

I'm very happy with my official Line-6 VDI Cables  purchased after 2011 - they are flexible, and high quality far superior to the original 2005 era Variax cables
