GP-10 - Tone of Pro Crunch gets clearer at higher levels, is this as designed?

I have a simple patch, with Pro Crunch, Bass, at 12 position, Mid and Treble at 10 position, level between 9 and 10 position
and gain at 99. Using my LTD- ST213 (Strat Like) at position 2 to 5 , as the level raises (let's say to 12 position) treble pump in and sound moves from muddy to clearer and crisp. Moreover if I put Gain at 3 o'clock or noon and level at noon the overall sound gets clearer.

.. So is this for real with the physical Pro Crunch amp model?
