Hey thanks for your attention! I've been searching but haven't found a straight answer...

I need AMP to STAY ON and switch between #15 VO clean amp and #13 VO drive amp in same patch...

I've been trying the CTL pedal and Assignments with no luck, only able to turn amp on and off...

What am I missing???

Thanks again! archie

Can not be done with the regular amp models in a patch with Assigns.

Well that sucks  >:(  I thought the gr55 could do anything !! :o

I switch guitar models on the tone tab... yes I know that's different...
But I thought there might be a chance... maybe some other way...

Thanks, I appreciate you!

There is a second Oreamp in the FX section which does allow Assigned changes of the amp model

Thanks for the suggestion...
I was able to get what I needed (not ideal) with the FX GUITAR AMP SIM (doesn't have different AMPs)... It only works with PCMs not Modeling...

Funny side effect though... maybe just my understanding... confused!
Switching the PCM on or off also applies the AMP SIM to the MODEL guitar output!

I would still suggest to Roland... modify AMP able to STAY ON with switchable AMPs in same patch... and forget about the FX AMP SIM!

Thanks again!

The FX module can have any of the four tone sources through it, using the Routing selection for each tone source.
Each tone source (normal pickup, Modelled Instrument, PCM synth 1, PCM synth 2) can be routed to
1: bypass = Delay + Chorus + Reverb (each has an output mix for each tone source) + EQ.
2: MFX = MFX + Bypass chain
3: AMP/MOD structure 1 = AMP + MOD + MFX + bypass chain.
  AMP/MOD structure 2 = AMP + MOD + bypass chain.

The main Amp module doesn't allow Amp type changing (due to CPU load being maximized), but does allow Cabinet changing.
So you could also enable AMP and MFX guitar amp alternately on/off with two assigns to switch between those too.

The MFX Guitar Amp Sim has 14 Amp models + 16 Cabinet models, which both can be changed with in a patch using Assigns,
some have said this Amp modeling to be better/different to the main AMP module.

With the GR-55FloorBoard editor software, the functions are easily visualized.

Well why didn't you say so in the first place!  ;D  Haa haa!

I've been using the floor editor a few years but still only understood about half of your instructions!

But I'll keep working on it!  ::)

Thank you sir!!
