hello,
well first ... booth work great together...
love the Space Echo ... had the original.. and all incarnations...
this is it... but one important effect disappointed me..
the Twist ... nothing in compare to the RE-20 i'll had before...
could also not archive the same effect with the GT...
well the RE-20 was very noisy and sensible to footstep noise etc...
soo could not wait to get my hands on the new RE-202...
and wanted also to change presets & tempo via midi...
what works great is sending CC# to the RE-202 ...
can also sync time... no problem...
but i'll wanted the cool Wrap + Speed effect from the RE-20...
so i'll used the two corresponding CC# and used my ext. pedal as source ...
works well... closed is off and normal Repeat Rate ... once pressed and moved a little Repeat Rate changes accordantly and wrap effect is on... now i'll get the same effect as with the RE-20 ...
but when Clock sync is on Repeat Rate always goes back to the sync'ed clock from the GT...
so that's why i'll have Clock sync off ... and use a btn (Num5) to send a CC# with my pref Clock eg. bpm
that works well so far...
now i'll wanted to use the Tap tempo btn on the RE-202 to send the Tempo (bpm) also to the GT...
but that does not work @ moment... or i'll could not find a way to do so
if someone can help me ... maybe it's also a general thing with GT...
had issues before with sending Clock information from other device via midi...
another question i'll could not get working...
how can i'll sent a CC# to a device when a pattern/song is changing...
like i'll want to sent a CC# to my RE-202 to change settings... have 5 Memory places ...
can do it with a footswitch when i'll have loaded the Song but not when the Song load that GT automatically sends the CC# to my RE-202...
any help appreciated ... thank you :-)

got it...
the Patch Midi panel is what i'll need to use...
works well now... Bank MSB = 0, MIDI PC# = 1-127 first 1-5 are the memory on device
now i'll only need to send the Tap tempo to the GT when tapping on the RE ...
thx

hello,
got it work....
Quotenow i'll wanted to use the Tap tempo btn on the RE-202 to send the Tempo (bpm) also to the GT...

you only need to set MIDI Sync Clock = MIDI(AUTO)
than the Tap Tempo from the Space Echo sync's with the GT1000  ;D
awesome easy function...
this will also work with other devices !

final resume: the new Space Echo RE-202 works perfect with the GT MIDI... you can change every parameter with CC#
for example the Saturation + Repeat Rate with a foot pedal... make it organic and much nicer
have fixed times on a foot switch... or use the Gt pedal for Repeat Rate and Intensity...
cerate some really nice unique effects that you can't do with the internal Space Echo of the GT...
and there are many more possibilities now...

MIDI CC# for RE-202

like every parameter of the RE can be controlled by the GT with toggles or movement  ;)

very very happy with booth devices now... since FW 3 .. the GT rocks solid...
most important... the sound that goes out to the DAW & Speaker is awesome!
compared with AxeFX, Headrush, Kemper & Line 6 ...
got nearly the same sound with all but when it comes to effects...
the Boss is the king sound wise!
i'll mean Sound ... not how many choruses i'll have or how easy they are to handle etc...
to me the GT 1000 is the best when it comes to the Sound that goes out. 8)

That's really cool. I current have a GT-1000/RE-20 and wondering about the RE-202. I didn't realise that it didn't do the twist effect but this sounds like it will help. Thanks for posting.
