....so would this connect to the Boss GP-10 directly via USB and would this give me access to the presets/patches of the GP-10/be able to change presets/patches on the GP-10....(or would I need the MIDX-20 still as a go-between)....??. ....sorry for my dumbness.....its my genes......

The Primovasound MIDX-20 can communicate over USB to GP-10  using the Roland/Boss protocol

Thanks Elantric....I had a fleeting suspicion it wouldn't work with the GP-10.
