"In collaboration with Dyna Japan"

Dyna is subidarary of Fuji-Gen

https://www.tdpri.com/threads/fender-japan-factory-dyna-gakki.313555/
this is the factory that makes FENDER-JAPAN today.

they are DYNA-GAKKI. one of the best quality factories in japan.
Gakki= Instrument

DYNA-GAKKI exclusively makes FENDER-JAPAN

since a few years ago. before TOKAI & DYNA made them and

FUJIGEN from 1982~1997?. all 3 made excellent fender japan gtrs.

If I was head designer, I'd have given it a more accessible name, and I would have emphasized the quality of the guitar's construction less-so, and the ability to access more and better sounds from the guitar itself more-so, assuming there was a conflict of interest between the two ideals based on the asking price.  Even better, have it branded as a Fender / Roland.

Who is this marketed towards? Seems like someone just looking to augment their guitar sound with basic synth sounds, sans GK, would save a lot of money, and really have less limitations, buying a Boss SY1, and use their favorite guitar. Sorry, Boss, but I just don't get who this is for.

BROCKSTAR

Exactly. The guitar doesn't do anything different than sy-1 or sy-300, in fact I know it doesn't do more than a sy-300 which you can find for $300 to $400 used and use any guitar with it and get way more option than this.... Releasing that is confusing but again there is a market even if small for something somewhere. However the time spent making, programming and doing something like this could have been well spent time on making a sy-300 part 2 with more options and controls and futuristic ideas or things that can be done now compared to 2015 when original came out which is still great in my eyes but would like to see the non-hex stuff pushed further into the future too.

Who is this marketed towards?
perhaps musicians who want to travel light and just plug in and play at band rehearsal or a gig.

Mostly posted this because Alex is such a good musician.

Had a look at the app,
that second page seen in the previous post,
that is all the synth control you get for sound creation.
TYPE:
VARIATION:

TONE:
RESONANCE:
DEPTH:
DIRECT LEVEL:
SYNTH LEVEL:

the CTL Functions can control the 5 variable controls above and Pitch.
And the librarian to arrange your patches into the 6 Guitar memory slots.

and a few system controls to set up midi cc# for EXP(on), EXP(off), EXP SW, CTL1, CTL2
and two hold functions

noise filter 0~5 setting,
Output Select either Line or Amp.
and Bluetooth midi device selection.

Would be a much better (useful) product if they had plopped in a GP-10 and hex pickup instead,
for guitar modeling, synth, amps & effects (optional), and an LED 2 digit display for patch numbers 01~99 (on the top side).

You've just described the guitar I haven't finished building yet, that's where one of the boards I bought from LinzHenderson is going ;D

Here is my setup.
Give me a lot of freedom and choices.
Way more sounds and effects than I can use, but very simple - won't lose where you are on stage.
Board is not cluttered.
Left to Right Bottom Row: Boss EV-30 (controls GT1000Core), Boss F7 (controls GT1000Core), GT-100Core, Boss EV-1-WL, Boss F7 (controls EV-1-WL)
Top Row: Shure PGX4 Wireless (Synth Output), Boss TU 3 Tuner (Guitar output), Shure PGX4 Wireless (Guitar Output)
Temple Audio Board (16 X28)

Is that the one you started some time ago?
Should pull finger, and finish the project.
I would like to see it in action.   ;D

I think he means a "great" amount of talking. In the first several minutes I heard him strum two chords on that guitar, and they were the same chord with the same synth tone.

This clearly violates my YouTube rule (which requires me to terminate  video air time) based on Frank Zappa's words "shut up and play your guitar".  ;)

Yes, any year now... I'm waiting for this part from Irvine California (which has mysteriously vanished into the unfathomable depths of USPS) which will be instrumental (ha ha!) in the making of it.

That video was a bit painful with the first 5 minutes of just jibber jabber.
